Terms of Use

Last updated: · By using On Tap you agree to these terms.

These terms govern your use of the On Tap app, website and services ("On Tap", "we", "us"). Please read them. If you don't agree, don't use On Tap.

1. Eligibility — 18+

On Tap is strictly for people aged 18 and over. By using it you confirm you are 18+. On Tap relates to licensed venues and alcohol; we support the responsible service of alcohol (RSA) and never reward drinking volume.

2. The service & accuracy

On Tap helps you discover pubs, deals and events, plan nights, build rounds, and get home safely. Live information — taps, prices, menus, events, transport and "get home" guidance — comes from venues and third-party sources and may be incomplete, delayed or change; we mark unconfirmed data clearly. Always confirm important details with the venue or transport provider; do not rely on On Tap as your sole source for safety or travel decisions. During beta, features and venues may change.

3. Your account

Keep your login and any sign-in link private — you're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly at hello@ontap.bar if you suspect unauthorised use.

4. Acceptable use

5. Your content, reviews & photos

You may post content — for example crew messages, reviews, reports, and photos ("Your Content"). You keep ownership of Your Content, and you grant On Tap a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, display and use it to operate and improve the service. You warrant that you own or have the rights to Your Content, that it doesn't breach anyone's privacy or intellectual property, and that any people shown in a photo have consented. Don't upload content you don't have the right to share.

6. Reporting & moderation

We want On Tap to stay safe and respectful. You can report or, where available, block content and users. We may review, remove, or restrict content and may suspend accounts that breach these terms, at our discretion. We're not obliged to monitor all content, but we act on valid reports.

7. Deals, offers & alcohol promotion

Deals and offers are provided by venues, subject to their availability, conditions and capacity. On Tap connects you with venues but does not supply alcohol or food and isn't responsible for what a venue ultimately provides. Every alcohol-related offer shows the venue, the deal, its time/date, conditions, that it is 18+ only, that RSA applies, and that it is subject to venue capacity and the venue's right to refuse service. Alcohol promotion on On Tap must comply with the ABAC standards and must not encourage rapid or excessive consumption. Any urgency or scarcity we show (expiring deals, waitlist counts) is genuine — we don't use false or misleading urgency.

8. Venue partners

If you list or manage a venue, you confirm the venue is appropriately licensed, you provide a valid liquor licence number, and you accept our advertising terms. You agree that your offers comply with RSA, ABAC and applicable liquor and advertising laws, that you are responsible for honouring the deals you publish and for the accuracy of your listing, and that any messages you send to prior guests comply with the Spam Act 2003. On Tap may verify your licence and may remove or suspend any listing or offer that is non-compliant, misleading, or unsafe.

9. Inviting friends

When you invite someone by email or SMS, you confirm you have their permission to be contacted at that address or number. You're responsible for who you invite. We may limit or disable invites to prevent misuse.

10. Orders & payments

Where ordering or payment features are available, your order is fulfilled by the venue and any payment is processed by our third-party payment provider on their terms; we don't store full card details. Prices, availability, allergen and food-safety information are set and provided by the venue. Any surcharge will not exceed our reasonable cost of acceptance. Refunds, cancellations and complaints about venue-provided goods and services are a matter for the venue, subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Online sale or supply of alcohol, where offered, is subject to applicable licensing and age-verification requirements.

11. Crew & shared content

Plans, crews and shared links show the plan — not private profile data. Sharing your location with friends (for example "find my mates") is opt-in and you can turn it off. You're responsible for who you add to a crew and what you share.

12. Intellectual property

On Tap, its branding (including "On Tap" and "PintPilot"), software and content are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use On Tap for its intended purpose. Venue names and marks belong to their owners.

13. Third-party links & services

On Tap may link to or rely on third-party services — venues, maps, transport, payment and AI providers. We're not responsible for their content or practices; their terms apply.

14. Disclaimers & consumer guarantees

On Tap is provided "as is", and during beta may be interrupted or change. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, and for venue-provided goods and services. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including consumer guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded; where we are liable for breach of such a guarantee, our liability is limited to re-supplying the service where the law allows.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify On Tap for loss arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or Your Content.

16. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or misuse the service. You can stop using On Tap and ask us to delete your account at any time.

17. Dispute resolution

If you have a concern, contact us first at hello@ontap.bar and we'll try to resolve it quickly and in good faith before any formal proceedings.

18. Changes

We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use On Tap after a change means you accept it.

19. General

We're not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. We may assign these terms to a successor (for example on a sale of the business); you may not assign yours without our consent. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms are the entire agreement between you and us about On Tap.

20. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the courts of that jurisdiction.
